Default help me out

hows it going everyone... the 00 ranger i have now is my first attemped at fixin up a mini-truck.... ive built a turbo 3rd gen maxima, and tricked out a wrangler but wid my ranger i have no clue where to look, all the mini trucks round here are s10's, the few rangers are 4wd wid 22s

so i have no clue where to look for parts
... i want bucket seat and a console, is a wrecked explorer the best choice to find them
.... i want a different hood... hood scoop or cowl hood
....i want rims... will mustang rims fit? paint the ones that came on it? or buy some new ones?
... i want to lower it pretty good? know of the cheapest way to get low and still have a decent ride and not gettin the hell beat outa me over every bump?

any comments or suggestions would be great

Yes, Mustang wheels will fit. You might see that the bolt pattern of Mustang wheels is 5x114.3mm. Ranger wheels are 5x4.5". 114.3mm = 4.5".

Me believes he's talking about cropping the weird center part out.
I think it would be prety cool to get some old biggum van seats with the rotating base. But that's just me. . . It seems it is not the easiest task to lower the older rangers, hence you don't see many. I would recommend getting a fiber Ranger hood like mine and with a little resing and some mesh you could do anything with it. Without spening a butt load on a sub quality poorly re-enforced aftermarket hood. There are alot of nice stock wheels out there that are 4.5, Nissan 350Z, Acura, Chevy, Cannot recall if the Vette wheels are, but the Cobra wheels 18" specifically look purty good IMO.

If Xcab, Explorer seats will bolt right in. Might need to ream a hole out or two. 95-01 Explorer/Mountaineer, 01-03 Sport Trac and Sport. IF reg cab, good luck. Seat tracks need swapped to bolt 'em in which could require welding.

You can run Explorer center consoles(shorty and full length) too in those specified years. Or ranger center consoles.

Or you can just cut yours up and make them buckets and throw in a center console.

For them, junkyards, craigslist, ebay, here or other ranger related forums.

I only know of one hood option, and it is linked below.

Scoops....I REALLY like the 99-04 Mustang GT scoops on Rangers. Again, for them, junkyards, craigslist, ebay, here or other ranger related forums.

95-04 designed Stang wheels will fit. You will very likely need wheel spacers up front to clear the hub/dustcap. My brother needed 7/16" spacers for his wheels. Or you can machine the wheel to clearence that hole. My brother also did this after getting tired of dealing with the spacer. Either way, you will not have center caps on the front wheels. 05+ stang wheels are WAY too positive offset....huge spacers would be required. I don't suggest 05+ wheels.

Tons of vehicles have this same 5x114.3 (5x4.5) bolt pattern, but again, the biggest issue is getting a wheel that has a big enough 'hub hole' to clear the hub/dust cap. Plus alot of those wheels that are out there are way to positive offset for a ranger. positive offset means sucked into the fender.

Painting or getting new wheels...dude that's up to you, not us.

Just DJM 4/5 it. Rides fine. Be mindful on wheel dia and tire sidewall. Also get some Belltech Nitro2 drop shocks.

Or DJM 2/3 it. You can run a fatter sidewall for a more cushy ride. Most who do the 2/3, end up 4/5ing it anyway, so F 2/3, just 4/5 it.

Cheapest? Cheapest way is doing drop coils up front and flipping the hangers...but that's just about a 2/2 drop and it ain't gonna be low enough.

Yeah, 4/5 drop from DJM, gonna run about $650, for the front, I recommend KYB shocks though, better ride. Nitro drops are fine out back.

Mustang wheels in stock form require a 5/16" (0.3125") spacer minimum to clear the hub up front. Bolt on on the back, but with the offset on them, I would run spacers all the way around.

You can get aftermarket cowl hoods for your year, just look around.

For extended cab, 4-door exploders for seats, reg cab, you need to find an Expo Sport 2-door. You can change the seat tracks out, but it ain't easy (doing that on mine now).

Any thing else, just ask, someone here has probably done it.
