No testosterone here, we're all ____, just ask those guys on the Cheeveey forums.
Really, I read the post twice before the first response, then a couple times on the #6 response and came to the conclusion, everyone knows what happens when you do that, that we really did have enough information to make an educated guess on the problem. Sorry I responded to a question that seemed to be pretty straight forward.
Personally, I enjoy having heat this time of year.

This should be new thread. Mod/Admin should split this off into a new thread since it has nothing to with the thread here. First stop using it. Pull the fuse for it and do not use it until you replace that part. Unless you want your truck to burn down.

clawsonj only 4 post and pissing people off! that wont get that needed help. fireranger was right you should start your own thread and that way every one has a chance to look at it and give you some help. as for the attitude grow up and learn to take some constructive criticism not every one here is used to preschool or day care kids going off like that !

go start a thread in electrical tech. I dont know a lot about this topic but i would guess that you have an issue with the blower control switch, the blower resister or the blower relay. if it is getting hot I am not sure why the fuse did not blow. maybe someone put i higher amp fuse in to keep it from blowing i would check that. if you dont have a manual to see what fuse is what you can down load one for free here https://www.fleet.ford.com/

The blower is a different knob on a different circuit, unrelated to the temperature knob. If the temperature knob is heating up like that, it is most likely toast (in many senses of the word) and should be replaced.
