Default Good News and Bad news

Well this morning i noticed some fluid on the ground under my truck on the passenger side. Looked a little brown but didn't smell (I think, i got some bad allergies atm so i can't smell the best). I thought it was strange, i haven't been running my ac lately. I didn't think to much of it till after i finished school to day, i went out to my truck and noticed another puddle under my truck. So i took it to the shop and had them look at it. turns out it was the valve cover gasket...

I guess that's the good news, seeing how i thought it was the rear main seal. Bad news its going to cost 350 bucks to fix, and for a broke college student, its going to hurt.

Don't ask, i just felt the need to share, since i haven't posted anything lately.

Wish i had the resources to do some of the stuff, but for me my mechanical know how goes to about changing the oil, im still trying to figure out why my drivers side window won't work either, i already replaced the switch, didn't work, so its either a lose wire, the window is catching on the tracks, or bad motor... still trying to figure it out.

Well it was 500 bucks total....the kit they thought they needed and the kit they needed were different prices, kit they though they needed was 50 bucks, kit they needed was 180 bucks, they had to take off the intake manifold to get at the valve cover...
