Default need help w/ power windows 97 ranger

My drivers side power window rocks back and forth while rolling it up and hangs up. I've pulled the door panel off. I need to replace the plastic bar, that the door actuator rides up and down on, as well as the plastic bushings that ride up and down on this vertical black square plastic bar. Does anyone know what these pieces are called, I've tried searchin on ebay with no luck. One last thing, the black plast square on the end of the actuator, it swivels on the ball on the end, is that replacable? I need to get all the slop out of the window. If anyone can help it would be much appreicated.

From your description, it sounds like you need a new window regulator.

what makes you think the regulator is bad?
The window still goes all the way up and down, and the gears are not chipped. I looked on ebay and the regulator doesn't include the rail guides. I'm curious why you think it is the regulator. Just hate to buy it and it not fix my problem.

Sorry.

I rendered my opinion based on reading the information you provided about the problem, and the amount of time I've had to personally observe, inspect, and investigate the problem. Due to the extremely short amount of time I've spent personally on your vehicle, there may be wide variations between my opinion of what may be wrong and reality.

If you want a more accurate appraisal and an estimate on how much it will cost to fix it, you'll probably need to get someone to actually look at the problem, instead of asking someone 1400 miles away to diagnose it by reading a short written description on the internet.
