Interest in this 2003 FX4 Level II
I found this on Autotrader tonight. I sent the dealer a detailed email about my car for a trade. I would prefer a manual, but hey, its a Level II. I guess I could sacrifice manual for everything else I want. What do you guys think of the truck and price?

No way. Level 2 or not, $12k for that is not a fair price. I paid just a bit more for mine, 3 years newer and 30k miles less. Are you deadset on a Level 2? Should be able to a find a manual 4.0 for much cheaper and mod it the way you want.

It must be something about where I live, but a manual 4x4 extended cab seems impossible to find. I am not saying I would pay what they're asking, but I think its a clean looking truck. Imagine if I could talk them into an even trade? That would be sweet.

Re: Interest in this 2003 FX4 Level II
you're not alone. Manuals are getting harder to find in everything, I searched for months before finally stumbling on an awesome deal, but I wasn't going to settle for an auto when I was deadset on a stick. It looks clean, yes, but its still 8 years old and has some miles on it. If you want a stick, don't settle for an auto

I really would prefer a level II, I love the wheels, LSD, 410's and all the other goodies.

Then it'd be one to look into, but I honestly wouldn't pay more than $9000 for it, and thatd be pushing it really. good luck, hope you get what you want

I would stay far away from the automatic, unless you know somebody familiar with the Ford Bordeaux transmissions and their required updates, and whom won't charge you an arm and a leg. Not saying that anything will go wrong, but if it does, it's not very fun.

Re: Interest in this 2003 FX4 Level II
I have no problems with my tranny in my truck. I say go for it! I love an automatic lol. However, Id offer 10k or less. They are asking a tad bit high. That truck sells for around 8500-9500 all day. 11500 is overpriced IMO.

Re: Interest in this 2003 FX4 Level II
Nice truck, but if you're really wanting a new truck don't settle for something you don't truly want. Hold off and search for something that fit all the criteria. This truck isn't a good deal, so pass on it.
I settled for a 2-door extended cab because it was a good deal, and now i'm kicking myself for it. 2005, 4.0, 5 speed 30k miles for a bit under 13k.
If you must have this truck, I think 9500 is a good price for it.
