Default Lady backed up into my truck on lunch break!

i was at Quiznos with the fiance on lunch when a woman come in and asked who drove a red Ford Ranger...my head sunk, i just knew somehitng was wrong. She said "someone just hit it!" i jumped up and walked outside calmly (actually nervous as hell; i just knew that my truck was fudged.) a little ol' lady like 85 years old got out of her car and walked towards my truck. i was like dang it, why does it have to be an elderly lady.... but i looked at truck and all that it did was scuff the corner of my back bumper. i took my hand and wiped across it and most of her paint come off. im left with just a small scuff mark and it made a little cut into my plastic bumper cover. thats it...THANK GOODNESS. i looked at her car and her taillight was broken. she looked so worried poor thing. i just told her it was fine and we need not worry about anything..but to be careful next time. now if it had been a body panel, i would have asked for it to be turned in on insurance. but everything is fine, im just a little agrevated bc now there is a scuff mark there, but its fine, glad it wasnt worse and that shes ok.

glad to hear it was minor, but it still stinks to have your pride and joy damaged.

By the thread title, I thought it was going to be bad. I'm glad it was minor. The only way to keep a vehicle perfect is to park it in the garage and never drive it, so a few bumps and bruises are inevitable. But it always sucks when it's someone elses fault when you get a ding.

I'm glad to hear you were nice to the little old lady about it. I have a soft spot for old folks, I guess because we're all going to be wearing those shoes one day.

Way to go! That's the kind of spirit we all need.

I love old people. After all I may be one one day.

Although the aged people do may me nervous, they either drive too slow or don't pay attention to their surroundings.
