Default 110 V/150 Watt Plug

My work vehicle is a 2010 ford escape hybrid that has an integrated 110 V 150 watt plug in the console. I really love the plug! Has anybody done a custom plug in their ranger? I would love to see a how-to if someone has done this.

Just buy a power inverter. I bought a 2,000 watt one for my work truck. Removed the ashtray and stuck it in the opening. Works great.

if you would like i can post a "how to", this is just to show how my version looks

overall view

'on' indicator led

i removed the jack (goes in the bed now) and mounted/wired the inverter so that it can easily be removed and used elsewhere. took about an hour to cut the plastic and run the wires, and less then $40 for the inverter and parts. i figured i would put in the standard 12v out since i was running power back there already.

Here's how mine is. I know there's a block of wood under it, but it's a work truck, and I want to be able to remove it easily if I get moved into another one.

Yes it's 2000 watt peak. 1000 watt continuous. $75 from ebay.
