I'm curious as to what you didnt like; was it the light itself or the mounting?

Reason why I ask is generally the only differences you will find in LED light bars is between whats termed an SR series or the traditional double row; which is the only way you will find however a curved bar, is in the double row so far. Outside of that they all generally have a similar design for the extruded housings.

There are brackets that mount the bar in a couple fashions really that we offer.

Close to the windshield: a bit lower profile overall, tends to have a sleeker look. TALL-TALL people may not like being able to see the bottom/back side of the bar. [Click on the vehicle pic in the link]

The other setup is more difficult to find for the Ranger I think but the example I want to use is the above the roof look. Typically the issue here is wind noise which is easily suppressed or eliminated but the issue occurs more often. [Click vehicle pic in link]

Everything else will be based upon optics and lumens or if you're a stickler for correct terms, candela.. and or where its made and Warranty concerns.

You can follow either of the links and search our 50" bars as well in our lighting offers for references too.

My personal tastes favor the SR series because they're simpler to put in most places left open by the manufactures, they tuck up really nice under or over roof rack setups, or get creative with them in an install because all of those bring less attention to the lights themselves.

The only thing I didn’t like is that it had both spot and flood lights

A light whether a pod or a 12" bar or 50" bar all have some specifics. I know it would seem that everyone tries to equate one product as the same as another but really there are a lot of things to consider.

- Functionality
- Mounting (this believe it or not gets involved than one would think)
- Size (it does matter but not like you think)
- Type; Scene, flood, spot, Combo, work-light, etc
- Type II; HID, LED, Halogen.., etc
- optics
- current draw among other specs that may be needed to meet your needs.

Not trying to pull you in one direction or another but I've witnessed people taking high-end light bars and pods, sometimes even headlight conversions and making them look like garbage and others wondering what justified the money spent. I've also seen people take underdog like products, even some Chinese gear and have an overwhelming good example of how to really dial a lighting system.

That being said, your 50" curved bar had spot and flood. ALL spot would be more for higher speeds. More flood would be meant for slower speeds or even rock crawling type use. Combinations of the two were likely intended for a bit of the best of both worlds.

Typically spot lights should be more center of the vehicle and or up higher on the vehicle. Floods should be lower and used more for fill in. combinations of sizes and types can also be used to improve things such as ditch, alley or side lights, overheads, reverse.. etc.

Out of curiosity, do you happen to have any pics of the bar installed? And when you say your didnt like the spot and flood lenses, which part didnt you like?

Did the manufacture offer replacement type lenses so you could change them out for other needs?

Do you actually need a 50" bar on top? or would a combination of different lights achieve more of what you're looking for?

We may not have exactly what you're looking for but I think helping you find or figure out a plan that helps you find the right product for your needs and or expectations has value in it too.

Here to help if we can.
