I use this one. It covers most Fords in the year range listed.

I have a Vista and a Xp machine and it works fine. Installed with no issues and doesn't require a date/time stamp change like a lot of the ebay disks.

It doesn't have a print option, but if use the print selection under the windows right click menu it will print your entire selection at one time.

Its already paid for itself.

Last I checked, both Vista and XP were, in fact, versions of Windows.

Angry 1999 2wd ranger (pdf manual)

I too am looking for a manual in pdf format for my 1999 2wd xlt ext cab. I cannot believe there are none out there? They are available in other languages I just can't find one in English.

I have only heard great things about the two set manuals referenced earlier in this thread. (Thanks for your post) However it is tough to beat searchable PortableDocumentFormat pdf content then print the pages you need out in the garage (or in my case the driveway) and file or pitch when your done.

Correction on my post about no print feature. It does actually have a print function.

Yes believe it or not I was aware of that. But a lot of ebay manuals work only on XP and not Vista. Just letting everyone know that it works on both versions.

If anyone would like to see some examples before buying, send me your email address.

Oh, I believe it. My initial response in this thread was saying that it required Windows, then you replied saying "no, it'll work under XP or Vista", so I replied to your reply saying that Vista and XP were both Windows.

...and I was just letting them know that none of the dvd-based manuals that fit in either of those categories you outlined will work on Linux, Unix, or any version of the MacOS. They will only work under (some flavor of) Windows.

My library has a database link on thier website to auto repair manuals, with a whole lotta cool information. They even have a manual for a '54 jeep. It's free but takes a library card. I've copied and pasted info into word to print out and take to the shop.
