Re: POWERDOME HOOD!!!!!!! and a steppy rear bumper
ok, from my understanding i will need to block sand the existing coat of paint with 320, get everything smooth and spray with automotive primer, then block sand with 600 to attack any highs/lows and fill if necessary. After that, apply 2 coats of primer, wet sand with 800 grit let dry, then spray one light coat of base; once tacky, spray a thicker coat of base and let dry completely, after that prep and smooth the surface by flat wet sanding with 600 grit, let dry. then finally lay the third coat of base and let dry entirely. for the clear coats, will i sand the third coat of base to add "bite"? or just wipe with mineral spirits and spray over with 4-5 coats allowing 10-15 minutes to dry between each coat? once done i will wet sand and polish
correct?
