Default 3.0 V6, help? New Motor?

i bought my 04 ranger ext cab 2wd, for 500$ with a tied up motor (later found 4 clogged catalytic converters were culprit). I put in a salvage yard 3.0, with new intake, valve cover, water pump gaskets. New spark plugs and wires, and a new alternator. The truck has ran excellent for the past 2500 miles iv driven it. But im concerned how reliable will it be in long run. I can do most average repairs by myself but i dont want to deal with another engine swap within next year or two. The truck had 85,000 miles on it and salvage yard engine had 42k and it seemed extremely clean when i disasembled it, it had good oil and was full of proper fluids. The truck fired up on first try and have never had problems with it. So im just looking for opinions and thoughts on how reliable these engines are?

i doubt you've got anything to worry about, if properly maintained a 3.0 is a reliable little engine.
