Nice Ranger for that age usually when I see something like that its rotted right out and ready for the scrap yard. Although there was a guy building houses in my neighbor hood who had a nice Ranger like yours but he re did it from the ground up looks like it was bought off a car lot.

only thing i dont like is on the top of the bed theres some bad rot, cause the guy ripped the bed rail caps by bending it off the truck, im wondering how do i fix that?

cleaned the oilpan, got the pan back on, got the headgasket done, and the valve cover back on, shes ready to go back in!

Hell go to Autozone and get a copy of AllData for the 87 Ranger. It's 27.00 for a year but will be invaluable for your rebuild. I concur jy motor. Call some local mechanics and get advice on reputable junkyards.

well the garage the trucks in isnt mine, and i can only work on it when the owners around, so we work on it about once a week.

so is there any trick on getting the timing belt on and everything timed correctly?
