Default What are some good things to include in a "roadside emergency" kit?

recently, I decided that it might be a good idea to throw together a "roadside emergency" kit to have handy in the ranger, and I need some suggestions on some other stuff to throw in

So far I have

Rope
some tie downs
duct and electrical tape
adhesive/superglue
working gloves
ponchos
couple of shop towels (for oil or whatnot)
a few flathead and philips head screw drivers
socket set
hammer
set of various pliers
and a flashlight

let me know if you guys have any suggestions.....

Small fire extinguisher
One of those small foldable shovels

I could probably think of more, but it's so damn hot!

You've got more than most people will ever have. Any first aid kit from the store will work. Might also want to keep a spare upper and lower radiator hose, a a gallon of pre-mix coolant, and a quart of each oil, brake, trans, and P/S. A few road flares are nice to have at night. Batteries for whatever flashlight you have. One of those battery jumper box things.

I know, but the tools are not just for "emergencies" I also plan on using them at the jy

and the rope, tie downs, and gloves are also for hauling stuff

You pretty much have everything you could ever need. The problem is finding the best place to store it all!

my "emergency" kit has a snatch strap, clevis, small 12V air compressor and some random hand tools. I also keep one of those window hammers in the truck too.

Flat tire repair kit - just some plugs and a reamer and plug insertion tool and small compressor . . .

12 volt plug-in emergency light with flasher, and spot/searchlight . . .

Various lengths and widths of rad hoses, some vacuum line, various hand tools, a couple of pry bars, a small hatchet, various spare fuses and relays, spare headlights, various bulbs, emergency blanket, ground sheet, assorted spare batteries, about 4 flashlights . . .

In addition to a lot of the stuff already mentioned . . .

I seem to accumulate more and more stuff that would be useful in an emergency, but I don't mind - seems when you have it, you never seem to need it, but when you don't . . . well, that's when you seem stuck for it.
