What are some good things to include in a "roadside emergency" kit? - Page 3

In this day and age you don't need anything but a credit card and a cell phone. Everything else takes care of itself within an hour of the call. It's not 1980 anymore. Unless you live in BFE, and I mean B-F-E... like the desert... or Alabama..... you don't need much to get by.

I obviously have that stuff, but what if its the middle of the night and I dont want to screw with calling a friend to help me out, or paying for a wrecker?

Or what if the cell phone doesn't have service (or ect)

Seriously, one of those cheap $5 tarps 6' x 8' or so folds up small & used as a groundcloth helps keep you clean if you have to crawl around underneath. Also to lay tools on so you don't lose 'em in the dirt or grass.

I carry a few of those glowsticks you bend/snap to light, in various colors... taped a couple red ones to my tailgate once to get home after my tailights mysteriously went out.

Everyone has about everything else covered. I do prefer a large 4-way lug wrench over the wimpy tire iron, and a BFH comes in handy sometimes.
