My windshield wipers hate me.
I have a question about my 99 rangers wipers they randomly turn on while I'm driving sometimes just for a second but also sometimes for a while. I think the wireing is all messed up but if you have any suggestions let me know.

haha i get that to. I always thought it was the window wash button getting stuck.

Wiper Relay man. Parts houses don't carry them. You have to go to the dealer.

There was a writeup on here a while back about taking the wiper switch apart and cleaning it with electrical spray...worked for him...I'll see if i can find it.

Try the relay first - easy to replace - I had the same thing happen and it was the relay.
If you can't find one at a parts store, just pull a few from virtually any Ford that you find at the JY - always good to have a spare or two.

I've the same problem I changed wiper motor wiper switch relays fuses and the GEM did not help Went to ford to have them flash the GEM they said the computers would not talk that I must have a short or bad ground, The ground for the GEM is suppose to be under the relay/fuse box under the hood they say that it corrodes and may cause the problem
