So, I am in the market for another vehicle.. Keeping my ranger. lol... But I need something with a little better MPG, and so Im not putting the wear and tear of a daily driver on my Ranger. Especially seeing as I might be getting a job, where diving to different sites daily will be priority.. Was looking for a car Im not looking to spend much like $5000 tops.. I found this on CL, I like the idea of it and its something I like also Dam Near double the mileage of my ranger..

Cool, just go over it with a fine toothed combe and check for the usual rust/rot. Go in your ranger and tell him this is what they are supposed to look like and see if he will knock more off lol

i'd try to find one with less miles for a DD; having a DD start at 100k just doesn't seem to practical to me. $5000 should be able to put you in a decent car with maybe 60k miles on it.

On a side note, I picked up my 2003 xlt 2.3 for 2900 with 160K on it. 3k for that truck wouldn't be bad at all, considering the year and relatively low miles on it. These 4 cylinders are supposed to run forever, though I can't speak for the 2.5 liter, my 2.3 runs like a top. And the XLTs are comfortable.
