That's all a taaaaaaaaaaaaaaad dramatic.

The truck ran it's course. It was around a long time.. I'm sure there will be a replacement for it in the future if the market is there.
True..but ya gotta admit..it sounds good..LMFAO!

On a less dramatic note..imagine what this does in the minds of new "preowned" Ranger Enthusiasts..

I doubt the value of the 1st gen will go up that much unless its mint and its 80 yrs from now. There are just too many Rangers on the road (I read somewhere close to 4.5 Million Rangers) for it to be considered rare. Just like the Model T, there were so many and it took a long time for them to be worth anything.

Yeah this has been talked about before and others have indeed given a date before, but it just wasn't confirmed by anyone including ford motor company. I'm not sad about not being able to go and buy a new Ford ranger next year. This vehicle has just been played out. But how would you like to go home after you have worked there for years to your family 3 days before xmas and say to your family the following: "daddy's got to find another job, so santa clause won't be coming this year". That would kill me to have to tell my kids that right before xmas. This would be one of those times that I'm glad I'm not married and I don't have any kids. I just can't believe Ford finally confirmed it. I wouldn't have posted this thread if I knew it wasn't a fact because it's been posted before and everyone has had their say in the matter and no one has actually confirmed the date before either in past threads.

X2 ... But Ford will eventually have to come out with a smaller truck than the F-150. Ford brought the Taurus back and they'll bring the Ranger back too.

Which constitutes getting rid of the ranger. Save the three people on this forum from a foreign country where the ranger is not even remotely the same vehicle anyway.

Don't worry, the international ranger will live on.
