It's SNOWING in LOUISIANA

Its snowing here in Louisiana finally get to try out the 4x4. Ive had the truck for 8 months and have never engaged it into 4x4

Just remember 4x4s are not immune to snow! I have seen plenty of people (usually in SUVs with 4 wheel drive) end up in the ditch because they thought they could go whatever speed they normally do just because they had 4WD.

I was watching ONN (Onion news network) they did a spoof on the possible snow in New Orleans, which had a reporter telling how the city was ready to evacuate, the temperatures were at a dangerously low of 49*, that FEMA was already enroute with supplies to last citizens over a month, that already makeshift shelters were being built, The superdome has been on "standby" since the end of the NFL season, over 200 snowplows would be driving up and down the streets in anticipation of the snow.... Suddenly, as tiny snowflakes started to drift down, an AIR RAID siren starts to sound. The reporter is then told to evacuate the area and seek shelter immediately.

lol. it does cause quite a reaction but not quite that bad. probem is that we are not prepared in the least bit. our city (Shreveport, population 300,000) has one salt truck. makes things tough going in the morning. its been below freezing for 4 days now and that is very unusual. we are expecting sleet/snow tonight, so itll be interesting tomorrow.

We don't have any snow plows here in Monroe. The city rented fertilizer spreaders to put salt on the roads.

hahaha thats crazy, well hope you guys know how to drive in the snow, if not its like driving in the mud, really slippery. lol have some fun and stay safe!

i think we'll be able to handle the whole 2 inches we may get. itll be gone by noon lol.

haha still, they heavy stuff gets you stuck, the dusting makes it like an ice rink. watch out for stupid people sliding into you, when it snows out here in areas that dont normally get snow it looks like the aftermath of putting 5 year olds in nascar. its complete mayhem.

I dont understand why places with no snowremoval equipment just dont use the road crew stuff, I mean dozers, dump truck, front end loaders, those ant eater looking things. The "resources" are there, if your in a pinch use that Sh!t!
