Cant decide what to do with the front end
Hey all, i just wanted to throw a couple ideas out there to see what kind of feedback (positive i hope) i could get from some wheels that are turnin in my head.
1. Debating on pulling the running boards off (not sure i like the look) What do you think?
2. I will be getting clear corners, and i dont think they will look good with the black bug guard that is on there now... maybe a post of your truck with clear corners and with/without a bug guard would help me decide?
3. Shitty faded grill needs to be painted. Want to go with flat black or i could color match it to the white of the truck?
Sorry that is a lot but any feedback would be greatly appreciated
heres a pic of the front

Re: Cant decide what to do with the front end
I would get rid of the running boards, many guys take them off.
I would do the headlight mod instead of clear headlights (black em out) and paint the grill black

Definitely ditch the running boards.
Go with the black headlights and corners and hit the grill with some gloss black and leave the bug guard.

Yes ditch the running boards, but it sounds like your other plans are good. If you have the honeycombe grille, I say go with black on that

Would totally do that but have no idea where to get the grille and lights and how much they would cost? If i knew how to mount the lights like i said would really wanna do that.
decided to ditch the boards, also i already ordered the clear corners so no going back on that...

Re: Cant decide what to do with the front end
ebay should have the grille for you. you could do a billet grille and still have lights behind it.

Ebay has them with the trim for about 55.00 shipped. Just swap out the honeycombes and sell or keep the trim!

I'm going to sound really stupid here but i dont think i quite understand how to swap out just the honeycombs without the trim and how much work goes into that... I'm pretty new to making modifications to any vehicle

Re: Cant decide what to do with the front end
Its ok, everyone started somewhere. I learned here as well. The honeycombe is snapped in to the surround and you need 2 small flat head screwdrivers to start the snaps. Once you started a few the rest are easy

Re: Cant decide what to do with the front end
Yes but the surround can be popped out by pushing the snap pins (located at the base) down with a flathead screwdriver and you can pull the whole thing out, lay it down then pop the honeycombe out
