At a clients house
We were installing a system at this old mans house, he opens one of his garages, and theres a chevy 3500 duallie stuffed in there some how, no biggie.
Later in the day, he opened his other garage, I stopped working for 5 minutes just to stare at this truck.
A 1978 F-250 Ranger Lariat, the "Camper Special" Model in EXTENDED CAB!!!.
I dont know much about it, but is sounds like a rare truck, right? This guy has owned it since day 1.
I wish i had my phone on me, i regret not getting pics.
I might be going back tomorrow to finish that install if i do i will get pics.

Re: At a clients house
no, it's not a "rare" truck. I remember seeing many of those back in the late 70's on my camping excursions in Minnesota.

Re: At a clients house
It won't be rare, but it could be a sought after truck by the right people.
There were plenty of Supercabs, plenty of Supercab Ranger Lariats, etc. This is just a truck with the options list nearly completely checked off, similar to a fully loaded F350 today.
My F100 is a Ranger Lariat clone, and will soon have the Trailer Special Package B added as well. It's really not that hard at all. What keeps them from being rare is the fact that most of the options that make up these trim levels could be had just by checking off that single option on the options list, without ordering the package. The Ranger Lariat trim is nothing more than fancy badges, seat trim, and trim moldings. The Camper Special is nothing more than a normal F250 with heavier suspension, a bigger alternator, a different wheel base, etc. Nothing too drastic or special.
