I was at a local show last year, and a couple of guys, probably in their late teens or early twenties, came up to me and told me that they had been back to look at my truck 3 or 4 different times, and every time, they discovered something new about it. At first, they just thought it was a clean Ranger, nothing too special, but they kept noticing new things that were just a bit different about it. That meant a lot to me, because that is what i shoot for with my mods--subtle, but cool and different.

I had a guy a school constantly make fun of me for driving a Ranger and such. One day he stopped over and check it out. His first comment was "holy shit, this thing is like mint"" It isn't but i'll take the compliment. He never made a joke about it since.

Looks from other Ranger owners are a norm, but the most memorable was when I first took the truck to my parents house and my old man (he has a 2000 Ranger stepside XLT 3.0 with the off road package and 31's) looked at it and said "Well mine is bigger". I siad "yeah but mine is newer and stronger". We just looked at each other and died laughing.

Best one I have was after me and Chris were out mudding, sitting at a gas station, this little kid and his dad walked by and he said, "look daddy, mud trucks!!" Nothing major, but it was the first compliment I have ever gotten from a kid. Made me grin.

I am amazed at the number of older people, men & woman, that comment on how nice the truck is. But my all time favorite was from a little old guy that was pushing 80. "That truck looks like it is doing 100 mph just sitting there!"
