Re: Oil Change intervals
I do mine every 6 months (as recommended by the dealership) because of my low mileage.
Changes me from the GM "do it when i tell you to" computer system that was around 20000kms

Ecotec engines are so reliable though, i think it's a good system.
Imagine being able to change your oil @12k, the money you'd save (for me it would be about 85$/yr).
Oh and i voted 5k; i'm somewhere around 4k.

Re: Oil Change intervals
I only drive about 8000 miles a year, so I'm just going to do it every 6 months.

Every 5000-7000 miles for both trucks.

Re: Oil Change intervals
No schedule for me.
I change it a couple times a year, always b4 a trip when I haul my camp trailer.
I have read that the 3k mile changes on newer engines are not needed.
Todays oils and engines can go much farther between changes.
5k to 8k and sometimes more as Ranger Sport mentioned.

Re: Oil Change intervals
Synthetic oil is good for twice as many miles as petro. I change mine about every 6K (Castrol Syntech/Edge).

Re: Oil Change intervals
Every 5000 km, or 3000 miles, as per maintenance schedule - occasionally will be a couple of hundred km over, sometimes a hundred km or so early - averages out.
