how is that a deal a 1998 4 cyl with 125K miles at almost $4,000. and a rebuilt tranny on top of that, that sounds like a royal screw job of a Ranger.

he meant 4L idk what he did there, you can see in the description its a 4.0

edit: plus there was no such thing as a 4 cyl 4x4 i don't think. definetly one of those things you have to see for yourself.

lol I missed that but I still find it expensive for a 1998 4l OHV with that many miles and that needs TLC, you can see from the pics it needs some bodywork too. I dont trust professionally "rebuilt" trannys. Dodge has millions of professionally built trannys and they are just like a crockpot just slowly waiting for it to destroy itself even brand new. Id trust more a brand new tranny. he is better off paying $2000 more for a more prestine example with a SOHC instead of the OHV and have less hassle

2003 FX4 LEVEL II

1996 was the last year for the 4 cylinder 4WD Ranger.

Bank is open tomorrow so I will be looking.

The 4.0 had bad tires and a couple of dings nothing major though. The 3.0 had really nice lif and drove awesome but the person who had it beat it up pretty bad inside and out which you couldn't tell from the pics. The search will continue...
