Default Looking tomorrow to buy a Ranger

Im going to look at 3 Rangers tomorrow, I need to get rid of my old car asap. The first is a 2004 xl reg cab 6ft bed 68k miles 3.0l auto for $5995, the 2nd is 3.0l auto 2004 extended cab 75k miles for $7995, the 3rd is a 2005 3.0l reg cab 68k miles for $6499 all are 2wd. The first and thrird are white, the 2nd is a dark green. I dont care for white but the prices seem good...can always get it painted.

What should I be looking for or asking about?

thanks
deryk

In my opinion, its typical NJ prices.... OVER PRICED!! If you pay that much, you can find 4x4's with the 4.0 engine for the same money or even less. I have seen them in NJ for less than that

I have seen them on Northern NJ Craigslist. If you find one, I work in that area so I'll go with you to look at it too if need be

If your looking to pull a trailer stay away from the 3.0's 4.0 gets good gas mileage and has more power.

yeah 4L for towing as well. the 3L has about the same HP as the 4 cyl and just marginally more torque (180 IIRc) then the 4 cyl (154 lb ft)

I would still have to recommend the 4L since many members here have a love hate relationship with their 3L, they love the engine but wish they had the performance of the SOHC for even everyday driving.
