Default Tinting help

I'm gunna get my windows done soon and I'm torn between 35% and 20%. the law in Illinois is 35 so would there be a huge difference if i got the 20%? who has these and can offer wisdom?

I usually tint mine to match all around. I would suggest going by your state laws though. If you get stopped you may be ticketed and will have to remove the film

I agree with Clinton. Plus keep in mind, the darker the tint, the harder is is going to be to see out you windows when it's dark. 35% can be challenging if there are no outside lights around to help with visibility when backing up.

I had 35% on my front windows first because thats the legal limit in PA, and IMO dont waste your time with the 35%. I have 20% and it's perfect.

I have the 20%, and it matches the back factory tint really well.

You could go darker on the back windows I think cops only raise hell if you have your front ones tinted beyond the legal limit you can go 20% on your sides that's what Im going to do but when inspection time comes around be prepared to take it off because you won't pass inspection unless your at the legal limit. Luckily for me my inspection guy is cool with my dad so he passes me anyway lol.

Whatever the tint level is, I plan on matching the back sides to the slider window I'm going to have installed. Ford wants $500 for matching side windows. I'll pay a shop to match them before I pay that.

Yeah your better off getting it tinted somewhere other than a dealership you can get each window done for around 40 bucks a window at most at an aftermarket shop anyday screw $500

You got that right! I got $250 credit for tha back window, so I'll be paying $200 to get my slider. A truck has to have a slider!
