I don't have a direct answer for your question... but what I can tell you is this. When ordering a new Ranger it's a $260 option from Ford. I have one I could sell you for $125 + shipping.

It all depends if you get it from a company and do it yourself or call a glass company to do it. They can be found in junkyards, average price is about 30.00. Then you can order the seal kit from a place like summitracing.com and then follow the "How To" in this forum on how to install it

I ordered one from the dealer for my new truck using the $250 credit towards accessories as part of the deal, the window is still going to cost me $200 out of pocket.

I just had mine "Professionally" installed today for 85 dollars

(they messed up, so my truck will be headed right back to there shop tomorrow afternoon)

the window itself was 30 bucks at the JY (with a warranty)

Yep, typical dealer pricing being that it didn't come with the vehicle.

They wanted $500 for the side windows too... EACH.

I'm opting to get the original windows tinted to match instead.

I paid $27 for a used slider from the junkyard, and $22 for the seal. Oh and $2 for the alcohol to clean the mating surfaces. I installed the window myself, so I saved quite a bit of money.

I considered it briefly but a for a new truck, I wanted a new window. Plus, I've seen the condition of the Rangers in my local junk yard when I was sourcing a door for the '98. They've been beat pretty badly. I had a hard time finding a decent door!

I don't blame you one bit there. My truck is 8 years old, so it didn't bother me too much. The truck I got my window from was immaculate, at least when I pulled the window from it. Now it's been picked apart like roadkill.
