3.0 vs 4.0
Ok I have been looking around at both trucks n they seem to be almost the same thing. I'm talking about the gas mileage. They might only vary like maybe 1-2 mpg. And the 4.0 has a lot more power. Clearly makes the 4.0 better. But Is there something I'm missing that makes the 3.0 a better choice than the 4.0?

Re: 3.0 vs 4.0
The gas mileage between the 3.0 and 4.0 will be about the same. For what it's worth, if you are going to go with a V-6, I would go with the 4.0.

Re: 3.0 vs 4.0
at least if you get the 4.0 you wont always be wondering "what could have been?"

well there ya go, it has nothing to do with weight to power ratio, noting to do with the engine..lol. However, I still throw the flag...as will others

hmm lets see, 3.0 has a cast iron black and heads, my 4.0 has cast iron block with aluminum heads and the two motors are about the same physical size, chances are the 4.0 is lighter. i would be willing to line up with any stock 3.0 at the track and put this BS to rest. the 3.0 is a good motor but its an absolute turd performance wise. oh yeah, having dual exhaust means nothing.

Re: 3.0 vs 4.0
i say 4.0l or bust. if you want the gasmileage out of one look for one with 3.27 gears with that i get 21 mixed. but with the small gear its tougher to put bigger tires on
