3.27 was in the OHV, the 4L SOHC has 3.55 3.73 or 4.10s. The SOHC is superior then the 4L oHV in everyway so you still havent given proof

I'm sorry I missed out on most of this thread the last day or so..

What a great laugh though.. The 3.0 can not beat the 4.0 in a race.. I don't care if you have a single cab, half a cab, no cab, quad exhaust... whatever.. not gonna happen.. There's no way you're gonna win when you're racing the same thing with SIXTY more horsepower..

never.

Oh .. and to answer the original question... They got rid of the 3.0 for a reason.

Definately the 4.0. The SOHC that's out now is a damn good engine. Now the 4.0 OHV from the past is a different story. The 4.0 OHV's tend to have alot of valvetrain problems, but the newest version doesn't. Plus the 3.0 wasn't built for racing period. It was built to last and be economic. I have had the 3.0 for 7 years now and like them both, but If I had a choice in engines I'd definately go with new 4.0 SOHC engine that's out now over the 3.0 any day.

To say adding Duel exhausts doesn't give you more power is complete BS.

lol of coarse they ere going to tell you that, they are trying to sell you a product! Its no different than the crap they sell on ebay where they claim 50 HP from a resistor that you splice into your MAF. You can put anything you want on the internet, doesnt mean its true. On a stock ranger the actual gains from an exhaust system are negligible and tiny at best.

So you think by adding a better echaust system in which meats stock standers if not beats them doesn't give you more power.
