It seems to me that the sliding rear window trim may be a type of plastic, while the solid window is a type of rubber product. Maybe my sense of touch is wrong, but it may be a reason. I imagine mold would have a hard time sticking to plastic.
Oh and my rear window came from this truck. It's a shame because this truck was absolutely beautiful and I couldn't find anything wrong with it. It has an M5OD-R1 in it that I may grab one of these days.
