Default That dual rag-joint steering shaft thing

My 1992 Ranger has a well worn intermediate steering shaft that needs either rebuilding or replacing. I'm told Ford doesn't make the part anymore.

I know there are kits out there to drill out old rivets and bolt in new universal rag joints etc. but I wondered if someone out there is making quality stainless steel; dual universal joint; shafts or something similar. I don't mind paying for the part as I like the idea of upgrading to a better design. -- they would last indefinitely and have zero play.

Any suggestions on possible sources would be appreciated.
