Found her through Uncle Henry's (New England craigslist clone but better) and that weekend came down with $1500 in hand and drove the truck home.

With my 1997 Ford Ranger, they step father decided to get a new Ford Ranger, the trade in value was not worth taking so he asked me if I wanted it. Then a few years later he needed a car for work and I told him I wanted his 2002 Ranger. So I have 2 Rangers right now. The 97 is my very first car/truck.

I got my ranger after some douche totalled my 86 Nissan Hardbody. I called my ex-brother-in-law and told him how much I had and I want I wanted...he said come down to the dealership I got a truck of Rangers coming in. I went down there. Saw the truck I have now, told him I want that one and said I will pay no more than 9k haha...The dealership owner happened to be at the shop. He tossed me the keys and said roll it off the truck and drive up to the front and we will talk price. He looked at the MSRP and all that and said I will get you out of here for under 9k WITH tax title and all that BS....had it ever since best truck I have ever had or driven.

I've always liked pickups and Rangers, and since my dad worked for Ford it was only a matter of time before I acquired one. In 1998 for my 21 birthday, my parents wanted to do something special by giving me $3000 for a down payment. I found a used 1997 low mileage single cab 4 cycle white XLT that I purchased. I drove the vehicle roughly 58,000 miles before it started giving me trouble, so I traded it in for a Wedgewood blue ext. cab 3-liter v6 02' Ranger that I leased until I traded this in for an 04' ext. cab 4*4 silver leased Ranger. In 2007, I purchased an 06' white, ext. cab, 3 liter V6, 4 door Ranger that was fradualently sold by the dealer. After that huge mess was taken care of, I purchased my current Ranger (hence my handle fifthranger). The details are below, and I am sitting on almost 52,000 miles.

Bought my Ranger in September from a local car dealer that specializes in low mileage re-possessions. Mom's Cavalier had been my DD for a year or so after I wrecked my first Ranger. The entire time I DD'd her car, I was saving up for another Ranger. But I wasn't saving up very fast. Well, in September the Cavalier's transmission started slipping between 3rd and 4th gear. Knowing how much it costs to rebuild a trans-axle setup, mom and I talked it over and decided to look for a truck to replace the Cavalier. Since I drive 3/4 of the time, it was my choice as to what we got. I secretly wanted a Ranger, but didn't want to jump on the first one I saw, because I always wanted a white Supercab Edge and had my heart set on them. So I looked at Tacos, Dakotas, Rangers, Colorados, Silverados, F150's, etc. Every single truck I saw was either out of my price range, out of my gas range, or they simply wanted way too much for the mileage. I wanted really low miles, which I was having a hard time finding. Then for some reason, a specific car dealer just popped up into my head. I decided to check out the inventory on their website. Chose Ford in the drop down box, and the first truck I saw was a white 03 Supercab Edge for 10K with 44,000 miles. I fell in love. Went to go look at it, and fell even more in love with it. For the next week I went back every day after school to inspect the truck and test drive it. A week later I took the $2,000 down payment I had saved up, bargained with the dealer on the price, and drove home with my dream Ranger.

hours of searching craigslist, no luck, so i took a risk and turned off the "needs picture" box. found my truck right away, called the guy and went out there that night at 10 on a scchool night, gave him 800 and it was mine. sat in the back yard until i turned 16 and got my license.

I needed a beater to run around with while I was finishing up my 3/4 ton SAS on my 86 F150 and found this 93 ranger for $400. It needed the top end rebuilt, a paintjob, 4x4 fixed, front axle replaced, and a bunch of other odds and end shit. Had custom body work and a 3 inch bl already installed. So I took it home and rebuilt her to the truck you see here today. I have probably $3000 into her total including tax/tags.
