I needed to get more mpg's because I travel 76 miles a day just for work, found my ranger on autotrader drove 5 hours to get it, traded my nissan frontier nismo which was very happy with but the mpg,s were eating deep into my pocket. the ranger fills my needs perfectly.

Needed to replace my tweaked cab on my bent frame of a clapped out '90. Couldn't find a 4.0L 2 stick super cab in SoCal for a good price, so I drove from San Diego to Tacoma, WA to buy my '95. Then towed it down to Moab to wheel the crap out of it before gutting it for a drivetrain swap.

My '99 Sportage died and being that I own an old motorcycle I started looking for a small pickup just in case I had to haul the bike someplace. We found it on craigs list moments after the guy posted it, called, look at it, and drove home with it all in about 3 hours or so. Most of that time was spent driving back and forth.

My grandma's husband died and the ranger reminded her of him because it was his truck so she gave it to my dad who gave it to me.

Craigslist. My dad and I weren't searching for a ranger specifically just any cheap vehicle really. After driving to location after location looking at the cars I said screw it and let my dad check them out without me. After about 6 months of searching my friend was over and my dad asked me if i wanted to check this one out, only 3 minutes or so away from the house. I said no but my friend said yes so i was obligated to go hahahaha. Got there and immediately fell in love. It was a dark wedgewood blue 2002 Ford Ranger XLT 3.fast V6 flexfuel with 76,000 miles, owned by a cop.

He wanted 7500 iirc and that was way to much to my dad. He wasn't sold on it but after much pushing he said we'd buy it if we could get it for under 7k. Almost a week of going back and forth with the guy (who worked nights and slept all day making communication difficult) we finally got it for around 6800 Threw two new tires on her the next day, washed her up, and took a few pics with the good ole droid X

and there I had it, my first ever vehicle Since than I have fallen in love with the truck and all of it faults in a way I previously thought impossible.

It was a company vehicle at my old job and they auctioned it off when the miles got high so i got it really cheap with about 190,xxx almost all highway miles and still runs like a champ.

Grandfather passed away in December. My grandmother said he always mentioned giving it to me since I sold my old truck for a Commander. Grandpa said a man always needs a truck...

hi everyone, new here. I bought mine new in 1997 when I first moved to Texas. Still have it. it's been to 20+ states, Mexico, got me through 3 college degrees and survived a huge accident in 2003 in which State Farm wanted to total it out but I refused.

Looked around for probably a month, drove seven Rangers before landing on my '03 with all of 47,000 miles on the clock–all the way down in Beaverton, OR!
