i got my ranger after months of looking around i'd about given up. Then I told a buddy of mine i was lookin for a truck as my first vehicle. He gave me a card sayin " This is my dad's card" i said really your dad works at a dealership he told me yeah and he told me he worked there too. So I went up there a week later they had 3 rangers all 2003 4wd xlt the one i wanted first was for 9,888 but the undercarriage is covered in rust. then someone bought it so i got this blue one which was much better. That's how i got my first vehicle/ ranger

I owned am 04 pontiac grand am. It needed an oil change, so I took it to the dealership for the oil change service.

They came out and told me that it needed new tires (I already knew that) and body work (I busted the radiator support by hitting a blown out tire on the highway)

So, I saw the ranger on the lot and said "I want that".

My Aunt (who lives with my grandfather) always wanted an Eddie Bauer Explorer. The 03 Cadillac that she bought used, while the only person who can even change the oil in a car in my family (me) was out of town. Then thing was turning out to be a lemon, and was filled with shawty repairs. The exhaust was held up by a bungee cord. She goes to trade it in, and the dealer ship lets her take the Expo home for the weekend while they wait for the banks to open on Monday to get a loan approved. No bank would approve it and she settles with a 2010 Ranger Sport.

A few months later, I was driving my grandfather's 98 Sonoma 2wd 4cyl, because he is at the point that it isn't safe for him to drive, and I found out that the fuel system was completely trashed and it would take like $800 to fix it.

I play Tuba in My high school band, and we had a pancake breakfast fundraiser one morning and had to be their at 6:00 am, I didn't sleep well that night and really didn't get to sleep until about 4:30. Being 16, I wasn't aware of the degree to which being exhausted can hinder your driving ability. I didn't see a man driving around his pregnant wife and turned left right in front of him and totaled my grandfather's truck.

The truck only had liability insurance on it, and the frame was bent so we just had it hauled back to his house and we ended up trading it for a n 85 f150 not too long ago. I had planned on working and saving and buying him another truck, but before I had even regained my bearings, my aunt calls me and tells me that I'm getting her Ranger. I am like WTF??? I just totaled Papaw's truck why in the hell are you giving me a brand new one??? At which point she tells me that they are getting an Eddie Bauer Explorer.

The dealer had an 09 Explorer that they had used as a company car, it had 15k miles and was completely immaculate. They had gotten what they wanted out of it, and were loading it on to the trailer to haul it off to auction. She got a fantastic deal on it, and she ended up getting it for much less than what she got the ranger for, the only problem was that she didn't have the cash on hand for down payment. Papaw gave her the money for the down payment as long as I got the Ranger.

Had been saving since I was 15 for some crotch rocket motor cycle, but when I was ready to purchase an unused 86 Hurricane. I realized I would have either killed myself on it or been still riding a city bus in winter and looked elsewhere. Bought a new and pretty black 87 and have never looked back. The reliability has been incredible and so followed the black 97 and my present black 2005 Edge.

when I was first looking for a truck my sophomore year I saw a white 2003 FX4 Level II and knew I wanted it but just could not afford it so I bought my 89 4x2 B2200 instead(yea i know totally similar lol)

fast forward three years to where I just got out of AIT and hadnt driven just under ten months I decided I was going to buy my dream vehicle....RX8,built 240SX,87 Monte Carlo SS, or Z71 Colorado....Out of those the Z71 was the most livable when including gas and insurance. The dealership just wanted to much for it though so I left and got on craiglist that night and typed in "5-Speed 4X4" and the first thing that popped up was my truck....the next day I drove up to Austin and was reminded of the lust I had for an FX4 in high school when I saw this beautiful white truck looking at me...all black interior with red seats, big tires, and the power,my last vehicles were an 85 Monte Carlo with a first year 4.3 and 89 Mazda B2200 with 89 horses so this was POWER and the icing on the cake a 5-speed.....put down my down payment and never looked back....today Adele and I have shared 10,000 miles of reliability and fun

Really wanted a ranger edge, so I started looking on Craigslist. Found a 03 white regular cab, but it was a scam basically. Then I saw a yellow ranger somewhere (don't remember where) and just KNEW I had to have one. Few weeks later, I Found my truck on craigslist. 2 hr drive to get to it, so I knew I wouldn't be able to go get it that day. Couple days later, the guy called and said that someone was about to buy it. They had test driven it, but hadn't got the money to him yet. I was extremely disappointed that I didn't get my dream ranger. Well the next day (or something like that) the guy called back and said the deal fell through!

I was like

So long story short, I ended up getting the banana!

I can walk to work but was missing having a truck and getting real tired of driving the wifes car to get beer. (wa wa wa). I did the research of what I could get in my price range and looked around for a couple months. A local dealer had ol' Limited Slip sitting in the used lot. Love at first site; extended cab, posi diff and some minor stuff I could fix. Shifted good, ran good, stopped good. All mine now title in hand. God is good.

I found mine on craigslist. got it for an okay price and it already had some of the parts I wanted on it. Drove 30 minutes to get it and bought it on the spot.
