Recently been doin so cruisin around and have notice some rangers just sittin in yards. If people cannot afford to fix or dont know how they should sell them. Its a shame seeing them sit there.

that has got to be the most assinine statement i have ever heard.
so, your theory is if a ranger is just sitting there, it must be broken and the owner doesn't know how to fix it, and should sell it?

I see the same thing with travel trailers, motorhomes, boats, washers, dryers, cars, etc.
Lots of people have that "one of these days" "someday" mentality.
Go knock on the door and ask.

Is there a competition now for assininieness?

I agree with the O.P., but only if the vehicles mentioned have serious signs of sitting for prolonged periods of time, and it is obvious that the owner has and will not have the means to ever fix the vehicle. However I also see the side of those who own derelict vehicles, since I myself am an owner of a derelict vehicle that may never see the road again in my hands, but could very well be quickly fixed by someone with more money than I. However, my F100 gets cleaned at least once a month, and really does not give off the appearance of something sitting. Therefore I feel I am exempt from the situation.

Terry, and Steve, the way I see it, when a vehicle sits like the O.P. stated, resources are wasted. Natural elements were destroyed to make that vehicle, and with the vehicle sitting, the natural resources are basically wasted since the vehicle is no longer being used. Somebody in the US and/or a foreign country worked their ass off in crappy conditions to build that vehicle, and not driving that vehicle is like telling that person, "Ha, you wasted your time in 110* temps making this car. I made you suffer for no reason".

LOL I wonder if anyone thinks my fishing boat is broken down, since it just sits in the yard not being used?
