"Ranger production" threads.

I am sick of these newbies asking about the ranger, if they are no longer going to be built after December of 2011.
there are many threads on the subject, so i am asking if any moderator see's a new thread about this subject, please close it and tell the OP to use the "search" feature.

yes they are annoying but this IS a ranger website so of coarse people are going to bring up the end of the ranger production. if someone wants to compile a list of links to the end of the ranger threads i will merge them but that wont stop anyone from making a new thread about it. it just comes with the territory.

Terry, you're just gonna have to ignore them. If anything, maybe administration can add an ignore thread button, similar to that of an ignore user button that blocks a certain thread from showing up.

You can help be part of the solution by linking the OP to some of the past threads. Everytime this topic comes up you have other users who find this to be news as well, and just telling them things like "this was posted here before" doesn't accomplish anything.

let me put it this way, those threads to me (and maybe the OP) are similar to how dixie_boysles feels about a dirty car.

if you spend more than a few months on any forum and you will find topics that come up all the time, every forum has them and you just deal with it. Its how the forum game goes.

This. Over on one of the leading F-Series forums i'm on, in the section for my 1980 F100, there are threads posted every day about how to decode vins, how to find out what motor is equipped in a user's truck, what an XL is, Etc. All questions that have been answered before. It's about 6 times worse over there than what we have here.
