Default The End Is Near...

Official: December 22, 2011 will be the end of production for the North American Ranger. Ford is expecting Ranger buyers to go for a Fiesta, Transit Connect, or 3.7L F150. I personally would like the world Ranger to come to the US.

I am glad that we have a date now for when we can all mourn, but threads debating and questionning the death of the ranger over rule this forum. I think all that can be said has been said and I hope this doesnt go down this path and to any future member saying "what?!?!?! theyre going to kill the ranger?" just facepalm yourselves. lol. (plz note this is nto a bash towasrds pasco08 and blacked out fx4)

it's a financial thing. a lot of people DD or commute in a 4cyl ranger since they're cheap and get good milage. the fiesta gets way better, for not much more dough. the transits can haul just as much as a ranger can (fully enclosed for anti-theft/weather), and then with the 3.7l in the f150, they see it as a way to make just one truck that can handle the light duty to the "heavy" light duty stuff.

you also have to factor in the safety specs for crashes, pedestrian safety, and emissions bull shit that ford would have to spend money on to get the world ranger legal in the US.

I'm going to the Ranger Plant on Dec. 11 and have a silent prayer when the plant ceases production.

They better give us a diesel Transit Connect. I would swap my ranger with shell i work out of for one but the mileage is almost the same. Why spend the money for a transit that makes the same as my Ranger 4cyl. Give us the Diesel you tards

Yes. And they made that decision a long time ago. For some reason, it keeps coming as something new...
