Default H.I.D.s Issue

So, I recently installed H.I.D. 6000k Headlights from V-led.com and the truck is saying my brights are on. When you click the brights on the light on the dash gets brighter but lights dont change any. I ordered the hi/low h.i.d. kit. Also, when the headlights are on my foglights wont work because the truck thinks the brights are on. I tried installing the h.i.d. kit in the foglights and I can never get them to turn on. I have a relay kit in the truck for headlights. Any idea on what causes this?

Sounds like you have your high beams wired backwards.

Read the install guide again:

And if you don't have it wired wrong, the Hi/Lo controller is probably toast. There are diodes in there which act as one-way valves for electricity. They allow power from the high and low beam circuits to constantly apply power to the relay without backfeeding.

What brand kit did you order? ALso, do you have bixenon (HID lo, HID hi) or the HID lo beam, halogen hi beam kit?

If you could, please post some pics of the plug and the wires you connected to the plugs. Sound like you might have some wires backwards

Sounds light the wiring is wrong. I wasnt paying attention when I put mine in and one side would work with brights on and the other with lows. I guess u shouldnt install in the dark. ha ha

Got it figured out yesterday. My kit is from V-led.com. I had to move the pins in the relay to connector cause the high/low/ground pins weren't in correct place. After I fixed that I got the fog lights in as well. All is working now with no issues. Very nice kit, best I have worked with.
