Default Anyone else hate the super small pedals in the Rangers?

Its the only thing i hate and absloutly can't stand is the uber small pedals i wear a 12 1/2 shoes so when i first got the truck i would hit both the gas and break at the same time =/ Now i have to wear flip flops in my truck or i hit both pedals!

I added Pep Boys pedals the first day I bought my truck. With the small/short pedals and the angle of the seat bottom, my leg was hurting when driving. Add some pedal covers and you will see the difference.

You must have Manual trans. BTW, a lot of RWD Fords have skinny Gas pedals.

i remember my grandfather warning me that the brake and gas pedals were kinda close togeather, and that more than once he tried to stop and still had the side of his foot on the gas pedal.

but as for me, i've never had a problem in my size 13 work boots.

I wear a size 12 roper style boot, and this isn't much of a problem for me. I will admit that when I test drove the truck I had to get used to it, but it didn't take me long. And I have found myself holding the brake and gas twice before, but that was because I wasn't watching my foot position, and moving my foot back to the right fixed that real quick.

Like someone else said, many Fords have skinny pedals, my 1980 F100 has one about the same size as my Ranger. If you can't get used to it, then get aftermarket pedals as was suggested.

my mom 2003 Corolla had smaller pedals and they were close together then my manual ranger. great for heel toe shifting but terrible for anything bigger then a size 9 shoe
