Thus why i allow my mechanic to do that kind of work to my truck as i do not want to kill myself or endanger anyone else.

randy + chris = hahah, IMO i think a rig is better when youve put the blood, sweat and tears into creating it. my truck isnt as sick yet as a SASd truck, but im proud cause its never been to a shop and ive done every scrap of work myself.

He should get bagged on he bragged about driving an unsafe truck at unsafe speeds and thinks its fine. I explained the correct way to do it and he likes the wrong way better. That link of the steering should be straight to prevent binding and because its stronger. It should not be a "z" pirate would have been worse than me be a lot. I could care less if he put his blood, sweat and semen into it that doesn't make it right all it does is make the trailer park build a little more believable.

listen regardless of his opinion ill build my steering how ever I feel is safe. i googled unsafe steering and i didnt see anything remotly close to the way i built the steering on that. so that being said ive only seen a few rangers that were actually straight axled. and rstangboi i like the hell out of your truck.

----------

oh one more question what is so unsafe about it? explain it to me if your soooo sure about it

this is zbar steering

it is unsafe. this should be straight

(dont get me started on front lift blocks and some other things on this rig)

i am not the only guy who thinks that style steering is "unsafe" there are several reasons behind it.

http://rlcanon.sw.utexas.edu/taco/scarysteering.html

http://128.83.80.200/taco/scarysteering1.html

http://pirate4x4.com/forum/showthread.php?t=849050

and in all honesty i could care less what you think is safe. its about what USDOT decides is safe. that is not safe, therefore it should not be on a public highway. i am sure you wouldn't want some big lifted logging truck with that style steering to fail and veer into you and your family. those style draglinks bend, buckle and break thats unsafe on a freeway.
