Yea your right hardened steel bolts properly sized and supplied by jeep never sheer that's crazy. I also have np idea what I'm talking about since my truck is hugely unsafe. Hell that's why I immediatly had someone agree about the safety of zbar steering. At least mine will pass a dot inspection let's see a zbar pass that. I mean they are used in so many stock vehicles (wait nope they are not)

http://rlcanon.sw.utexas.edu/taco/scarysteering.html

That's why zbar steering is unsafe go look thru there bet your truck is listed.

look you can build you ranger how ever you want. it doesnt matter to me. ive built many trucks and i sold everyone of them with no complaints. your opinion is your opinion, every one has a right to one. by the way you did have a pretty sweet truck man, its a shame that you flipped it.

Its all fixed now been that way a while. Thing is zbar steering is a known unsafe steering.

ive ran z-bars on several trucks and never had any problems with it. ive got several buddys of mine who use them too. the only type of steering i had problems with were using heim joints. wish that truck would have survived but it wasnt so lucky

all rangers have a solid rear axle. this thread is about those with a solid front axle or SAS (solid axle suspension)

so just because you have used something unsafe several times that makes it correct? man that's like saying i slept with a bunch of hookers and no condoms and don't have herpes...YET. Zbar is not a proper way of setting up steering its not an argument its not an opinion this is a fact. just because it hasn't bit you in the ass yet doesn't mean it wont. want to lift something and get the correct steering setup move to hydro or a high steer setup. Zbars are not safe. i think its just you florida folks way of doing SAS because it seems like every time i turn around another one of ya'll is doing something unsafe with a lifted truck.

yup a licensed, cert'd shop because i wanted a warranty on my build. it wasn't much more expensive than doing it myself since i don't have a welder or half the other tools i needed. not to mention i will not setup gears myself. that shit is for the birds.
