You have a Ranger and you're concerned about longevity? Seriously??
Believe me; your truck is still a teenager, just keep up with regular oil changes and scheduled maintenance!

If I wasn't serious, I wouldn't have said it. But ya, I keep up on all maintenance. Just 15k a year is quite a bit for me in a little truck, and I'd like to keep it as nice as possible.

My 2010 2.3 that I got new has 167 thousand miles and drives awesome in the highway. 85 mph no problem. You guys are funny concerned that 118k miles is a lot. Use synthetic fluids or syn blend on whatever u can and change all fluids in the ranger. Don't forget the diff and the t-case. DONT FORGET THE FUEL FILTER TOO.

Amen on the fuel filter! The owner before me had it for 12 years and never changed the filter! The mechanic said it was like mud when they pulled it out

I hope mine goes that far. I still remember the days when a vehicle with 100k on it was a useless pile of scrap. Automotive engineering has come a long way since those days, and that's a good thing!

Re: How many miles do you have on your Ranger?
My Ranger has right at 130,000+ and still runs great! I can't wait to put a little more of my own touch into it as it progresses.
