Not a lot because my commute to work is from my bedroom to my home office down the hall. I currently have 46,000 and some change on my 2008 Ranger XL. At this rate it's going to take 16 years to hit the 100,000 mile mark.

49,204 on my 2011. Most of those miles were put on it at high speed, headed to the Gulf and back. I didn't understand at the time, but the stealer did me a huge favor by selling me the extended Premium warranty. That is nearly everything on it until 100,000 miles or March 2018.

Congratulations! There's an old saying that when your vehicle reaches 100,000 that the owner should push it a mile in return. I seriously doubt anyone does that anymore. Here's to 100,000 more miles on your Ranger!

3.0 vulcan 5 speed manual- yeah, it will probably keep chugging along. Easily a 300k drivetrain.

Just be sure that cam synchronizer is changed and that you never let it overheat (so keep up the cooling system). The cam sync drives the oil pump and can ruin the engine if it fails, and both the 4.0 and 3.0 have a tendency to warp/crack heads IF they overheat. Ive heard of some 3.0s have valve seats recess, but thats very uncommon.

I think the 3.0 is more resistant to warping than the 4.0 since it has iron heads and block, so the expansion rates would be the same. I once lost my serpentine belt on the highway and had to drive another 2 miles (at 70mph) to the next exit before I could park and shut it down. The coolant was bubbling out of the reservoir and everything looked bad... I replaced the belt and the engine never even flinched. It's a dog, but the 3.0 is tough

x2 mine overheated so bad it had a blowout and the engine didn't skip a beat. It's slow, but a damn good engine.

217102 and doing my best to figure out the clutch. That's on the original block, heads, and camshafts. Lots of work but it'll still go as fast as my 06 sport on the interstate.
