another note this is on the original block and heads the transmission has had to be replaced a couple of times, and lots of other parts. Shes still pretty quiet and runs but shes losing in a race with a mountain biker.

Went for a drive yesterday and rolled over 89000 miles 
The end of owning a sub-100k truck approaches. With all that I've done to it I think it should be pretty reliable up to 150-160k. Here's hoping...

51900 on my 02 4.0 5 speed. From what I know its the original clutch.

Just sold a 1995 xlt 4cyl. 2wd. With 297,000. Replaced the starter and battery and just kept up regular maintenance. Original motorcraft battery lasted 200,000 miles. The tranny died.

I have absolutely no reason to fabricate the story, it is true! I never said 20 years, you did. I said 200,000 miles.

Most I've seen a battery last is like 10 years, standard acid filled battery.
