I don't think that's a Ranger Dash .. Should have a tach to the left and oil pressure/voltage meter on the right

Yeah they had 2 different styles for those years. One with a tach and one without.

If you look into my intro page (I am a new member here after all) I just inherited that truck from my deceased step-father. Since I personally knew him and how he drove that truck, I can attest that those are original miles on a '97 XLT, standard cab, 5-speed manual with 2.3 under the hood (8 spark plugs). I can even link the original window sticker if you wish.

Look at the right-most digit on the odometer. If it is separated somewhat from the rest of the digits, it's rolled. If they're all tight together, it's not. (Had a '90 F-150 that rolled the 100K mark and that was the visible indicator.)

No no haha I was just curious. It's just great how people take such good care of their vehicles.

207k second motor with 120k and original tranny, rear end has unknown mileage. See how long it takes to top it over 300k. Will be the second vehicle in my family to do it. Moms 05 Silverado is currently at 280k. Runs like a dream. Drove it 3000 miles in 4 days and never had an issue. Need to take my Mazda on more trips. She tends to stay local. Maybe after I rebuild my front end and get the mustang rear discs on I'll take her out on a trip.
