Default air bag suspension

i got a camper for my truck and it is almost bottoming out my rear suspension so ive been looking into some air bags to raise it back up. Do any of you guys have some on your trucks, or have any experience with them?

buy a newer lightweight camper. that thing looks like a heavy ass 1974 model.
whats your gas mileage with that thing? 8?

i run the airlift bags and i LOVE THEM! i would recomend them to anyone.

its about 1200lbs fully loaded. its a 1971 and i cant afford a newer one. not sure on the gas mileage yet. Im taking it out for the first trip tomorrow

I'd say that's pretty close to the max weight for the truck and probably pushing it for safety because of the brakes. You are carrying a lot of weight up high, making for a pretty unstable load for a light vehicle.

I have Firestone "Rideright" airbag helpers on my Dodge 1500 4X4 Quadcab. I'd never pull a trailer or haul much weight again without them. Unfortunately, I don't think Firestone makes helper bags for the Ranger though.

If you can get the helper bags you provided a link to that will fit the Ranger, they most certainly won't hurt. Just remember, even though you will be able to level the truck you still will have to stop it with brakes that will be pushed to their maximum and you will still have a really top heavy vehicle that will make cornering dicey at best.
