You'd be surprised. I personally would not buy a truck with a spray/roll-in bed liner. Florida is good about fading the spray/roll-in liners, and they end up looking horrible. Not to mention nobody that sprays them here knows what they're doing, so they end up chipping off. I use my truck for work, but I have pride in it too, and i'm not gonna pay X amount of dollars for something that is just gonna fade in the sun.

It's all about personal preference in the end.

If they do, they just add to the already ridiculous price. Nobody here puts a decal on or anything, so if you buy a truck used with this liner already sprayed in, and the seller has no receipts or does not tell you who did the work, then you're out of luck as far as any lifetime warranty is concerned.

The benefit to drop-in liners is impact resistance. A bed w/ as spray-in liner will dent just as easily as one with no liner. The drawbacks to drop-ins are the potential moisture trapping, slick surface, and paint abrasion.

My 2011 Ranger Sport came with a bed liner. I'm just glad that it's an under the rail type and not an over the rail one. Those over the rail types look like crap when they start to warp in the sun. I just put bicycles and a kayak in the bed, so the factory bed liner works OK for me.

I just had my liner installed yesterday. They even called and asked me if I wanted over-the-rail or under and I said over....I hope it doesn't warp! We get alot of sun here in San Diego County.

Its weird that they would offer an over the rail bedliner since your 2011 should have come with the factory bedrail plastic covers already. IIRC Ford doesnt even offer Over the rail bedliners for that reason since all newer rangers comes with those bedrail plastic covers.... You might have gotten an under the rail, or if they really did install an over the rail, then either they were stupid and left the plastic covers there or they removed them which is still stupid.

Notice how this ranger has a bed mat but still the rail covers.

The over-the-rail is one piece with the bedliner, so they didn't do an under the rail and then add the top. They had two other Rangers there when I bought mine and neither one of them had bedliners. All they had were white rangers too, and only one was the extended cab (mine!), and I think these were supposed to be fleet trucks.

I like those plastic bedrail covers, but coming standard on the Ranger must be a Canadian thing as none of the new Rangers I have looked at, including mine, have them installed as standard equipment.

I might put some of those on my Ranger to protect the top of the bedrail.

Over-the-rail and under-the-rail are the exact same bed liner, except that the over-the-rail has extra material that covers the rail. Cut the excess off, and you have yourself an under-the-rail.

As far as warping goes, since the bed liners are the same, they both warp. But the over-the-rail liners are more noticeable when they warp since you can see that the sections that cover the bed rail no longer seem to line up with the bed.

I think by the time it starts warping I'll put a spray-in liner in, and then touch up the paint on the rails...
