He was having a midlife crisis. Then realized it wasn't what he was wanting after all.
Actually I know 4 old people who have edge trucks they do look cool in them.

Probably. I think he had trouble getting in and out of it, which is where the chrome aftermarket step bars came into the picture.

I've got 6 years on you. I turn 36 in less than a month. I feel like I'm 106 any more. Maybe I had a bit of a midlife crisis earlier tonight, L.O.L. I was 29 when I got my ranger. The textured flares on the sport and the fact that the sport model doesn't come with color matched components is what I don't like about the sport model, but you can always change that though.

The Sport still has color matched everything. The Fx4 is the only Ranger with texture flares.

Oh ok, I got my truck models confused a little bit. That's the one I looked at that I didn't like. Hey doesn't the FX4 also come with skid plates? I do remember seeing an advertisment somewhere for the FX4 offroad edition somewhere.

you're Young, Knightmare!, I'm an old Edge owner. I'll be 44 in a few months.
I sure wish I was 36 again.

Yep, the Fx4 did come with Skidplates. But I think all 4x4 trucks would, no matter the trim, be it Value, Fx4, 4x4, or Edge.

I thought so. Now I remember where I seen it. I grabbed a brochure from a ford dealer and one of the advertising slogans was go climb a rock. The model I have didn't come with skid plates (2WD go figure).

Re: Bring back the Edge model....
I wish I liked Rangers when I was younger so I could get my parents to get me some Ranger literature. I think it'd be awesome to have it and see the options and features. I know I can get one on-line, but it's more hassle than I care to endure.

You wouldn't know it you saw me move that's for sure, L.O.L. I aint that young now, L.O.L. I wish I was alot younger knowing what I know now, but that can't happen. Just be glad we aint in our 50's yet. Because if I feel this way a shade before I turn 40, I don't even want to know what 50 feels like if you get my drift.

NOT the same. similar on the outside, but when it came to the cab interior, the thing was loaded.
When the edge was around, the ranger lineup went like this
XL, Edge, XLT (edge being XL on the inside, and XLT on the outside with a few extra things)
When the sport was around, the lineup went like this
XL, XLT, Sport (Sport being top of the line)
So again, two are similar, but NOT the same

Re: Bring back the Edge model....
My 2003 Edge is power everything, w/ cruise, premium wheels, 4 doors, and bed extender.
The only thing that isn't XLT about it is the vinyl floor.
