Default New grill emblem

If you know your big rigs, you would know that Sterling rigs are ford made. Im thinking about getting a sterling emblem for the front grill.

Opinions?

I thought Ford sold off their Sterling assets?

Either way, go Sterling. Peterbilt is overdone.

*Edit x2, looks like Sterling is owned by Daimler now, and Sterling Medium and Heavy duty trucks are no longer being made as of 2009.

If he had a 2006+ Ranger, it looks like the Sterling Light duty Ram based trucks have a similar sized emblem.

We have a brand new 2011 sterling in the shop with 1000 miles on it. Came from the factory.

Well...the sterling emblems are about 4.5 inches long on the new trucks.

Hmmmm, that's not what the site says. Unless that brand new 2011 is actually a re-identified 2009.

I'll try to get a pic of it. We're lengthening the frame on it as we speak.

Holy shit...y'all are right...its a 2008 with 1074.1 miles on it. Lol I feel like a *******

Sounds cool to me.

I put a lot of miles on this Pete 379. I have never owned a Pete, but I have owned two very nice Freightliner Classic XLs. I always thought the smaller/narrower cab of the Pete 379 was quite cozy. My dream trucks are an IH Transtar II cabover or a Mark R model conventional fully restored and loaded with tons of chrome. The first truck I ever sat in was an IH Transtar II and the first truck I ever rode in was a Mack R model.

I don't know who took these pictures, but I love these two trucks!

I LOVE me some Macks but the upkeep on them is REDICULOUS....due to the camelback suspension/trunions

My dad used to paint dump trucks a few years back, so I heard a lot about what was going on in the truck sales industry from his clients.

Two of the trucks he painted most often were these right here. When I turned 12 he put me on the DA sander and taping duty. Learned to crawl all over these trucks and how to keep your balance on a valve cover only wide enough for one foot. Sanding the roof of the cab was always the worst.
