How to remove FX4 decal
Hi guys,
I'm new to the forum. I'm just getting my Ford Ranger FX4 this weekend, and I want to remove the FX4 decal off the box. I'm using it as a delivery vehicle, so I'd like to remove it, as I need the space for my own decals. Wondering what the best method would be for removing it. I have a heat gun that I could use, but I'm a little concerned that I might burn the paint. Any ideas?
BTW, I know it's overkill to use the FX4 as a delivery vehicle, but I'm not anticipating a lot of deliveries, and I totally love the FX4 package! It's going to cost me about $1000 a year more in fuel than a new Focus, but the Focus is $3K more in price anyway.

Re: How to remove FX4 decal
Welcome, you can use a heat gun, I usually use a hair dryer then xtreme goo gone to remove all the glue afterwards and you should be good to go

Re: How to remove FX4 decal
Thanks for the replies. I'll look for the Goo Be Gone Stuff at Canadian Tire.
You mean, people want that decal?? I thought it'd look great without it, like STL's truck.
----------
When guys run Baja with their Rangers, what transmission do they use? Do they use the stock manual transmission? Do they use the stock rear ends?

Re: How to remove FX4 decal
pretty sure the decals are done for once they come off the truck.
and people use whatever transmission they have in 'baja' they all do the same job, same for rear ends with the exception of adding a l/s or locker sometimes.

Re: How to remove FX4 decal
A few days ago I took the Sport decals off the side of my 2011 Ranger. All I did was peel a little off with my thumbnail and the stickers came off with no problem. I did not even have to use my bottle of GOO-B-GONE. I could not believe they came off so easy. In fact, they came off so easy that I am wondering how they can stay on for years in the first place. It was like removing a piece of Scotch tape.
Once you remove the stickers, they are trash and can't be reused.
