I get it 100%
But I don't get why someome would waste their money putting HID Hellas underneath their truck when LED underglow strips would do the SAME exact thing for a lot cheaper and would be as ghetto-rigged

IDK about HIDs under my truck haha, would be kinda pointless to do that. LEDs would work better

I use HIDs how they are supposed to be used to wheel at night. To light up the trail. Not to act like im 6 years old and pretend my truck is a space ship

No not at all, I know the difference trust me, but I was just suggesting you add Hellas under your truck like that for when you wheel at night unless You don't wheel and your truck is just like that for looks

HIDs are for seeing better at night. HIDs project out hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of feet. The aren't made for lighting up the ground that is 2 feet under your truck. That is where LEDs come in. Seriously putting HIDs underneath your truck to be used as underglow is probably one of the DUMBEST fucking things I have ever heard.

I have (4) 9" offroad lights that are all 55w HIDs, 35w lo beam HIDs and 3k 35w HID hi beams. They are all used for seeing/ wheeling at night so I can see the trail.

Figure it out.

I'm a neutral third party. And I my opinion that Brett needs to explain this a little better. Installing underbody HID's doesn't make any sense to me. If he knows of a good reason to do this, please do explain.

I couldn't possibly think of one good reason for putting HIDs facing straight down underneath your truck

I thought maybe he possibly got LEDs and HIDs mixed up at first, but he boldly stated he knew the difference.

No shit Sherlock he sells lights I was referring to putting lights like Hellas under the truck not LEDs, he has a truck for offroading not a lowered truck, the Hellas would shine Down so he could see the trail at night under him.

For example: he goes wheeling at night, the terrain is rocky, he ain't gonna be able to see under his truck when looking out the window underneath the truck since it's dark, if he put the Hellas under there he could then see the terrain under him and he could make the right moves instead of wingin it.

Do you understand now?

That's what people have been asking you for the last two pages but you wouldn't say. It makes sense now that you've explained what you're talking about. However, that isn't going to apply to all types of off-roading either which could easily explain why people are wondering wtf you were talking about.
